Children's work
This work shows the development of the children's awareness of themselves and their own lives.
The Reception children were learning to discuss change and time and the effects they noticed between that time and now.
This activity focused on the children's family and their understanding of how the different people in their family were different to them and why they were different. Again, there is acknowledgement that the relatives came from a time earlier than the child's time - and that this time may have been different.
The children learned about different toys in this lesson and grouped them according to different criteria; in this case they grouped them into two groups - one old and the other new.
